Meet the Maker

It started as a hobby! In 2008, I asked all my family and friends to chip in and give me some classes in the art of stained glass making.  What a thrill it was, as I have always been drawn to the medium and now I was going to get a chance to learn the craft.  I started slowly, making small pieces for family and friends.  They were all so encouraging, so I decided in 2012 that I might be able to make and sell some of my works.  My company UNIQUE STAINED GLASS was formed and it has been a joy to make custom panels, sun catchers, Christmas ornaments and so much more.

I specialize in medium sized panels (36" x 36" and smaller) and my work is in the "Tiffany" style.  I design my piece, cut sheets of glass to fit my pattern, wrap each piece in copper foil (glass does not stick to itself), solder the pieces together, frame, clean and polish...WOW!  What a process.

Since opening, I also do glass painting, glass-on-glass, glass jewelry and more.  I will try to make anything that is made of glass.  I hope you like what you see.  If you want something custom, do not hesitate to reach out and ask.  I love a challenge.  You can contact me at stainedglassunique@gmail.com

I love working with stained glass and people!  It gives me greater happiness than to create something from nothing and to see smiles on my clients' faces.

How it’s Made

Stained glass sheets are cut into pieces like a sewing pattern.  They are then cleaned, and copper foil is wrapped around.  This is called “Tiffany” style.  After all pieces have been wrapped, they are soldered, once again cleaned and polished.
